To this day, tales of swashbucklers, buried treasure and the marauding pirates that pestered the Spanish sea captains during the 1600’s abound in Southwest Florida still linger! The Marco Island Historical Museum invites families and children of all ages to join in a fun-filled afternoon on the high seas! Pirate Day 2016 will take place from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Marco Island Historical Museum located at 180 S. Heathwood Drive on Marco Island. This event will feature pirate-themed arts and crafts, face painting and treasure hunts! This family-friendly event is guaranteed to be fun for the whole family! Admission is free.
